So I built my new RIG last week and all is great. Then I chose to raid 0 my 2 WD caviar 1 Tb HDDs. I went to computer management -> disk management and I just selected the 2 caviars, right click, strip. and voila, when i restart they are in raid 0.. after a couple of hours, i started getting the error that a disk might fail and must back up.
So I search a lot on the web with only a solution on how to prevent the pop out message (not really solve the issue). Now the intel Rapid Storage Technology shows me that one of the 2 disks is "at risk" and when i click return to normal, it is fixed but my HD disappears from my computer, and when i restart the problem is back.
So I'm guessing that my raid 0 kind of messed up something.. so below are some of the questions:
- Any idea how to solve this and keep raid 0?
- Any idea how I can return the drives to 2 separate drives and stop having this issue
- How can i test the HD speeds to make sure they are working properly (also applies for my ssd)
