I bought an OCZ 600w ModXStream Pro with 50amps on the 12v rails. It's 80+ certified. According to the specs, it should work just fine with my GTX 470, but it turns out the 12v rail is too high.

I called EVGA's tech support and was told that the functioning range for the card was 11.9v - 12.2. My PSU is giving off 12.468v - 12.488v (-_-)

Now I need a new PSU for it. I'm thinking of a Corsair, but not exactly sure which model. I only want to pay around $100, so keep the budget in mind when recommending.

Thank you!

PS: I heard there's nothing I can do to adjust how much voltage my PSU gives off, is this true?

It ran, but it was unstable. It likes to artifact and lock up when I'm booting up or when I'm idle, but it's fine whenever I'm playing games xD

I don't plan to order it online this time. I don't want to go through the trouble of sending it back in if anything happens. This experience is really frustrating as it's my first time ordering online and building my own system.

Hmmm... now that I think about it, is my 12.368v - 12.388v really too high or is the EVGA tech guy just trying to pass the blame on my PSU?
