Seagate 500gb external hard drive 0x8007045D I/O device error

Hello I have a Seagate Free Agent Go Flex 500GB external hard drive. I keep getting the following error: 0x8007045D
I/O device error. Is there any way to fix it without great cost?

Have you tried using SeaTools to diagnose the problem?
