80 gb Velociraptor for OS

well i m thinking of using a 80 gb velociraptor as os drive for my win 7 64bit ultimate.i wanna know will thr be a data or boot up speed improvement over a 7200 rpm drive and also raptor vs a ssd in performance

The raptor will be a slight improvement over a conventional hard drive.

But, today, I would not use anything but a SSD. It is a big difference in anything you do.

Get at least 60gb, preferably 120gb or more.
Larger ssd's perform a bit better.
