Front panel audio doesn't match mobo pins

I'm having some trouble connecting the front panel audio wire to my mobo.

Here is the pin layout diagrams for my mobo and case.

Unless I read that incorrectly, I can't attach my HD audio or AC97 because neither of the case pin layouts match the mobo's pin layout.

What can I do?

From what I see, the two are compatible. Have you tried connecting the front panel audio to determine if it works?

No, I haven't tried because I don't have my PSU yet. Also, I'm afraid of damaging something if I plug the wrong thing in.

I know that the naming for each pin won't be exactly the same, but things like this seem really off: PORT2R -> MIC2_R. Those aren't even close.

Btw, (not sure if it matters) I should add that the wires coming from the front audio are split into two plugs, one for AC97 and one for HD.
