Hi, this is a first time build for me, I spent the few past hours looking into a basic setup and compiled a quick list. Something thing I really wanted was an SSD for OS and a cheap 7200 hd. I know having two monitors and a SSD makes up like half the budget, but I really wanted those and am willing to skimp on other aspects if possible.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: sometime in the next two months

BUDGET RANGE: i'd like to keep it around 1000

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: light gaming (tf2, wow) and programming

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: speakers, input devices

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg, zipzoomfly

PARTS PREFERENCES: no preference

MONITOR RESOLUTION: I want two monitors @ 1920x1080

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I can get windows through my university.

The M4A785-M being an AM2+ mobo with DDR2 RAM DIMM slots for memory is incompatible with DDR3 RAMs

Ah, would this work better?

Go DDR3 platforms for fresh builds as the sun has gone down on DDR2 ones ^^ HD 5770 for a single Full HD display for gaming is debatable but with 2 i would get a beefier GPU tbh and with some manipulation via combos @ $1037AR:
