Hi all. I just ran some tests with my 2nd 5850. I'll attach a pic at the end so you can see the settings and such. Know that I have both 5850's BIOS flashed to 875/1200 and my PC is OCed to 3.675ghz/4.2ghz turbo.

FurMark settings: 1920x1080 0xAA full screen

Avg: 85

2 GPU
Score: 18670
Min: 128
Max: 218
Avg: 156

Result: 83.1% Improvement (score)

FurMark settings: 1920x1080 4xAA full screen
1 GPU
Score: 5759
Min: 41
Max: 72
Avg: 48

2 GPU
Score: 10858
Min: 67
Max: 135
Avg: 91

Result: 88.5% Improvement

These results speak for themselves. Crossfire is a big improvement. Nearly doubling a lone card, the scalability here is outstanding. Considering the improvement seen was greater with 4xAA enabled, one can assume that at 6x or 8xAA we'd see crossfire making an even bigger leap ahead of a single card. I only took one screen of the 2 GPU 4xAA result along with CPUZ open.

wow great work and nice results, thanks for taking time and posting this benchmarks :)
I have a rig with i7 860 @ stock and HD 5970 and when i disable CF,in Dirt 2 i get a noticeable performance drop.
With CF enabled,i get 84 FPS on avg on 1920x1200 8xAA and with it disabled i get about 50.
I am using Cat 10.5 though

Nice improvements! Good to see that Crossfire is scaling well with FurMark at least. Would be great to see some benchmark comparisons with actual games though. :)

Kudos though! Nice to see the money you spent actually gained you something! LOL

Yes I agree, I would definitely run the game benchmarking stuff but I don't really know where to find them at the moment. I have Crysis from Steam and I browsed all the files with no luck finding it. I might have the Dirt 2 benchmark tho... I might spend some time on it and update here with results. And a nice graph or two =P
