Hard Disk Missing

I purchased Dell Inspiron 1545 and it got crashed.when i try to boot,it says no hard disk. what could be the problem?

The problem will most likely be the hard disk. It sounds like it has failed and the BIOS no longer sees it. Call Dell and get the drive replaced if it is under warranty. If it is not then get it checked out to make sure. If the drive has failed buy another hard drive and start again.
