Hello all,

Im having a little issue with my CPU... it seems to be clocking in at an average of 803.6mhz according to CPUZ. Any ideas why this is happening. My BIOS are pretty new... heres a pic of CPUZ:

Hope you all can help. You all helped me with my BSOD issue after all. ^_^

P.S. This is my first build so be gentle if it is something very simple...

Why turn it off? Even if is on, when u load something, it will quickly back to normal frequency. It won't affect 99% of the time.

You didnt "fix" it .
Cool'n'quiet throttles back the processor to save power when full speed is not needed .
Running it fulltime at 3400 MHz is just a waste

i may be wrong but it is running at 800mhz when you are basically doing something idle.

it's trying to stay cool and reserve energy.

when you start up a game or whatever, then the processor starts to work towards its full potential at 3.4ghz

So everything is working properly, you should turn cool and quiet back on.
Turning it off is like renting a moving van to run down to the local marked and pick up a gallon of milk. The CPU will react instantly when demand is placed, and return to full speed on it's own when it's needed.

If you're willing to live with higher power bills and a hotter CPU, go for it...
