Changed cpu now what do i change in bios

i upgraded my cpu to a Anthlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor 6000+,3000MHz and my computer is slower. Do i need to change anything in my Bios?

Few questions first:

Are you sure it's fully supported by the motherboard? Did you make sure to mount the heatsink properly? What was your previous CPU?

my previous cpu was a Anthlon X2 3000. So the motherboard does support it. I installed a biger heat sink with a read out it stays around 36 c .
