Is the Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive any good, or should I get the Samsung spinpoint 1tb 3.0ghz drive? Price difference is only 5 bucks.

I would compare warranty, if they are both the same get the cheapest one. The input you will get here is going to be based on one or two users experience, and really not that useful for trying to determine the better drive.
I didn't look into it further, but I'm assuming both of those are 7,200rpm 1TB Sata 6.0Gb/s drives.
