Is the 128 GB OCZ Vertex 4 SATA-III 6.0Gb/s - 535 MB/s Read & 200 MB/s Write a good SDD and if so is it compatible with the GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UP4 TH Intel Z77 Chipset motherboard?

Your motherboard is compatible with such drives, the performance numbers of the is good, but many OCZ drives from the previous generations died.
I would recommend Samsung 830 which works great in my Notebook.
