Will this PSU work for CF build?

Will this PSU be good for a 5850 CF build using an AMD Phenom II x4 965 and 4gb of RAM? Gonna be putting together a build soon. Hoping the 6000 series causes a price drop in the 5000 series as I've been hearing it will.

  1. Hmm, seems it might be short on PCI-E connectors.
  2. Hi.

What PSU? I think that u forgot post the link or the infor about the PSU and add 2GB for 4GB total or u could have performance problems.
  3. Yeah that PSU is enough the the rig and the Crossfire.
  4. Its enough, but you will need 2 Molex-> 6-pin adapters. Though you could also get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207007&cm_re=XFX_650-_-17-207-007-_-Product

I know corsair is a quality brand, is XFX?
  6. XFX PSUs are made by Seasonic and that specific model got a 10/10 on jonnyguru.

  7. Ooo, nice. It's modular too.
  8. Uh wait. The one you linked is a 650w, but the one in the review is an 850w.
  9. Whoop sorry, I though this was another thread. Heres the Hardwaresecret review on the 650W:

  10. Soooo, still good for my build?
  11. Yeah, 650W is plenty for 2 HD5850s.
