Hi everyone
i'm planning to build a new computer around $1500 USD this summer in like 3 weeks or so. I've already obtained some parts and is looking for advice on obtaining other parts to complete the build.
so far i have already bought and have:
Antec 900 case
Antec 650W power supply
Hitachi deskstar 3.5 inch 1 TB 7200 rpm 32 MB cache harddrive.
The following is what i plan to get within the next few weeks whenever i see combo/deals.
CPU: i7 930
Vid Card: 5850
Mobo: Asus P6X58D-E
Memory card reader (internal)
Liteon DVD writer
Keyboard: Logitech 920
Webcam Logitech: 960
Ram: G.Skill DDR3 1600 3x2GB kit
Would any of these components impose a bottle neck when gaming/running calculation intensive programs like Mathematica to solve complex quantum mechanics problems for example?
Should I bother with getting a SSD? Money is not TOO much of an issue but I am not a very technical person and this is my first build so if it requires a lot of tweaking then I might not be up for it.
Thanks lots!!
