I have 1gb+1gb ram but not showing 2gb

Hello, I have 1GB 1GB Ram but not showing 2GB, System configuration: P IV 3.06GHZ,

Did you add 1GB to an existing 1GB? Make sure that the new RAM module is compatible with the existing RAM. Also, ensure that both modules are well seated in the RAM slots. Then re-start the computer. Wear an anti-static wrist band when doing this.

Check Windows isn't set to use only 1 GB. (Advanced boot options.)
