AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core

I have a AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core and I was wondering what kinda motherboard would you guys prefer I should get if money wasn't a problem. Thanks!

Hi Mbernardo.

I would suggest the Asus M4N82 Deluxe, it's packed with the usual features and is pretty good for money and has a fairly solid upgrade path.

It supports just about every single recent (2006+) AMD CPU out there (which gives you a very large choice if you decide to upgrade in the future) as well as support for Nvidia's SLI (add more than one of the same Nvidia cards that support SLI into the motherboard and you almost double performance for some games).

Where I live it runs for about $80 (Australian Dollars) but prices vary.
Iv'e also heard good things from friends about the board.

For that you need an AM2+ board and, well, there aren't as many of those around now adays. From what's left I'd go with

Since it has ACC you can get a little more out of your CPU overclocking it and it's a pretty good board overall

The board you have is fine! There is no reason to upgrade the board unless you are planning to upgrade the CPU and then you should go minimum AM3.

if money wasn't an issue? I'd save the money and wait for bulldozer then buy an am3/am3+ mobo and a bulldozer CPU
