That card will work fine in your motherboard. Just make sure your Power Supply has an free molex to provide power. It probably does.

It's a real thing -- just a generic PCIe x1 USB3 controller.
You would plug it into the dark blue slot at the bottom of your board (that x4 slot would then work as an x1 slot).
