Hey,

Has anyone else participated in this http://event.asus.com/2011/SandyBridge/notice/ swap. The hotline that website directs you to tells you to go back to the website which in turn directs you back to the hotline and generally just stuffs you around.

I called Asus directly and of course they didn't give a ***. What's the trick here if you don't want to go through the reseller?

You'll have to go through the reseller. Asus won't refund/change your motherboard if you didn't buy it from them, so forget about it. Reseller is the only way to go, as you have the proof of purchase from them, and not from Asus (as they don't deal with the public).

Toxxyc is correct, in this case we all need to RMA through the place of purchase.
