Help with buying a new gpu

Hello people i am thinking of buying a new asus 5670 {redeon} to re place my nvidia gt220: it this upgrade going to help my game performance?
{i dont have any bottlenecking hardware}

Is this card compatible with my setup i only have gddr2 ram and videomemory
And do i have enuf watt for this card ,the card does not need any power connectors so i shuld be fine right ?

220 is tier 11
5670 is tier 8

I don’t recommend upgrading your graphics card unless the replacement card is at least three tiers higher. Otherwise, the upgrade is somewhat parallel and you may not notice a worthwhile difference in performance.

However, the GTS 250 is Tier 6, 5 above your 220, and you can get one of those for about the same price as a 5670 + it comes with 2 free games

You kidding me naylor? An HD5670 will do him just fine. It beats a GT240 easily.

HD5670 should work fine as long as the PSU is around 300watts minimum.
