Does anyone know if I can use my Sony hvl-f1000 flash (used with my Sony
F707) with my new Canon 2D? I'm not having any luck locating an adapter.
Saving up for a new Speedlite, and would like to have an external unit
available in the meantime.

Thanks!

Nope. You need an EX compatible flash unit unless you want full power
out of the Sony or control the Sony manually.

He cant.. there are no contacts at all on the mounting foot of that flash,
