Static on Video Card

Hi all
i just bought new video card but forgot to ground myself before examining it
is there any chance static electricity might have destroyed the card?
i was not on a carpet- on wood floor

well, it might be a little chance, but don't worry about that, the chances of you destroying the card are so tiny...
Just try your card, put it in your PC and boot up...

I have been building systems for years and never use a grounding strap. I have picked up components many times with zero problems. When installing in the case I do always touch the case before installing the component though.
