I have an amd 1 gig tbird
abit kt7a-raid motherboard
256 mHz pc133 ram
plexwriter 12/10/32a
pioneer dvd
soundblaster x-gamer
ati radeon 64ddr vivo

I want to build a network. I've purchased the linksys etherfast 10/100 lan card. model# LNE100tx. Problem is that when I install the card on the motherboard and then reboot, the machine doesn't boot. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to solve my little problem?

What do you mean by 'it doesn't boot'? Does it start loading windows, or fail to selftest or what? Chances are, if I have to guess, that the NIC is inserted in a slot that shares/conflicts with another component - video or IDE probably.

Try changing slots for the NIC and also try setting up resource exclusions to reserve an IRQ for the NIC.
