Non-Gamer seeking advice on new GPU

EDIT: Building on a budget ~$900 after rebates

In building my first computer I've come across and narrowed down my GPU choices (I think). I'm not a gamer but want Nvidia for CUDA as I do BOINC and also for watching videos and very rarely encoding videos.

So here you go,

124.99 after rebate

EVGA 01G-P3-1158-TR GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

or

79.99 after rebate

XFX GT240XZHFC GeForce GT 240 1GB 128-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150472

Which one would better suit me as I don't play video games?

  1. What program do you use? can it utilize the entire 256 bit interface. Actually get 2 gt 240 that a way better deal especially sense they have 1 gb of texture memory.
  2. For encoding I use DVDFab

Save some money and get the GT240 since you are not gaming at all.
  4. Yah that gt is enough for you and it has cuda so cop that.
