Kingston SVP100S296G SATA II too slow AHCI Enabled Vista 32 Bit

Folks,
Sorry to add to the Slow SSD threads here but I figured my speeds were enough out of the ordinary to warrant a mention.
My setup - Thinkpad R61 Laptop
Processor - Penryn T8300 Core 2 Duo at 2.4 GHz
Memory - 2 GB
OS - Vista 32 Bit

SSD - Kingston SVP100S296G SATA II Drive. 96GB

I am getting the following results
Crystal Disk Benchmark 3 -
Sequential Read - 100MB/s
Sequential Write - 98 MB/s

HD Tune Benchmark
Minimum Transfer Rate - 41.1MB/s
Maximum Transfer Rate - 78.1 MB/s
Access Time - 0.6ms
Burst Rate - 50MB/s
CPU - 29%

I do have AHCI enabled in the BIOS and in the registry in Vista. Current disk usage is at 65% (58GB out of 96GB)

Is the kind of speeds I expect to see with this drive? It is a SATA 2 drive that actually has seen very little use..
