Here are the details: - 3 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (PCIE2/PCIE4: Single at x16 (PCIE2) / x8 (PCIE4), or dual at x8 (PCIE2) / x8 (PCIE4); PCIE5: x4 mode)
I have one 6870 occupying PCIE2 (first slot). I decided to place my PCIE x1 sound card in the PCIE5 (3rd slot) slot due to interference due to the PCIE x1 slot being so close the the graphics card. Does this limit my graphics card at all? Or does that only happen if I'm using the second slot (PCIE4)?
From the details, it seems that the PCIE5 slot always runs at x4 mode, so does that mean PCIE2 is still running at x16?
Thanks for any help.

Yes, PCIe2 is running at X16. You can confirm this by dowloading this program, which shows you the speed your PCIe slot is running at under "Bus Interface".
