Hello,
I want to upgrade my GeForce 8800 GTS 320, to get a better frame rate while gaming. Motherboard is a Nforce 590 SLI and got a 700 watt power supply. Anyone have some suggestions?

Thank you Maziar :)

I am currently playing on a humble resolution of 1280x 1024 ;)
Dual monitors though.
As far as what I want to spend preferably i would like to stay between $200 - $400 :)

For that resolution,a HD 5770 would be a perfect fit

This might be a dumb question, but wouldnt that affect SLi?

SLI ? HD 5770 is a single card and SLI is when using 2 or more same Nvidia cards on one motherboard

Thanks, I actually was aware of that but didn't think about it. Initially when I got this system I had been contemplating to get a second card but never went through with it. And not looking into the details. So as I said a dumb question ;)  But thank you for taking the time to answer it :)

Well, that's a not a very good option IMO,because first of all 320MB may be low for some games, also a HD 5770 would perform better; moreover,i don't think there is the need for SLI for 1280x1024

My PSU is 700watt so that should not be too much of an issue

It is not that im not satisfied with my card...just getting tired of running in 15-25 fps while gaming on low settings :)  And I have to run out to go do some shopping later today anyways so i figured I might look for a upgrade while im out :)

Of course its a great solution for $50 more, but with 5770 you get a faster card,DX11,less power consumption, less noise(compared to 2 5770s),and it requires only one PCI-E slot.
Both are good options,but IMO 1 5770 is better,but that's my opinion only :)

The 5770 will not give you better framerates. It will in fact lower them.
