Do I need to pay for internet from A T & T

I have computers in two rooms about 20 feet apart. One computer gets internet thru Charter TV cable company. 2nd computer has internet thru A T & T. Can i pick up first computer's signal. I have white "cisco" says "valet connector" sitting on top of my computer. Isn't that used to pick up 1st computer's internet?

If the Charter cable system has a router you should be able to share the connection with a number of computers. If not, you could use Windows Internet Connection Sharing to link the two computers.
