Does the black edition on Western Digital HHD's worth to have it?

They are a little more expensive, but are they really worth it?

They have a 5 year warranty which bumps the price up a bit, and they are generally around the top of 7200rpm drives performance wise.

They are not usable in any form of raid using parity.

It really depends on the user/use as to if it's worth paying more for them.
