My budget is about Rs 50000 ~ 1050$

Here's the build:

MOBO: MSI P55 GD-65 LGA 1156 - Rs 8500 ~ 180$
http://bit.ly/anLUOh

Processor: Intel Core i5 750 Lynnfield processor@ 2.66 Ghz- Rs 10000 ~ 210$

RAM
: Transcend 2X4gb ddr3 RAM - Rs 4500 ~ 95$

Cabinet: Cooler Master Elite 310 - Rs 2000 ~ 40$

PSU: Cooler master 600W - Rs 3800 ~ 80$

HDD: 500GB SATA HD- Rs 2600 ~ 55$

Optical Drive: Samsung DVD DVD-W Drive- ` Rs 1000 ~ 20$ `

Monitor: Current monitor Acer AL 1716W max res of 1440x900 so will be gettin a cheap 15' monitor for old comp for Rs 5000~ 100$

GPU: single ATI 5850 for Rs 15000 ~ 320$ (http://bit.ly/cyhesL)

Total Rs 52400 ~ Rs 1150$

I'am going slightly over budget here so i might have to opt for a sinlge ATI 5770 now and get 1 later and crossfire .

So here's the deal, i will only use this cpu for gaming and some programming on linux. So from the gaming point of view i know the resolution is low but i wanted the 5850 as i will use its HDMI output for playing on my 40' inch lcd once in a while :D

So my point here is can i reduce on my mobo or processor somehow??

maybe if i went for an i3-530 i could reduce my budget by a whole 100$ :heink: or a phenom 945 and reduce my budget by 50$ but i have to pay a bit more for the mobo as amd compatible mobo's are slightly higher priced in India

Solution
If you do not intend to CF/SLI

945 C3 95W TDP
870 chipset

Also i would try to hit a better case than CM 310 like Antec 300 Illusion , NZXT Beta EVO/M59, etc
If that Coolermaster has a voltage switch on it (e.g. it isn't one of their latest ones), it is overrated garbage. Choose a PSU that has full range active PFC (no little voltage switch) and 80+ certification. Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, and Enermax are among the better brands.

CM Xtremepower series are really entry level stuff so no no to those - the Silent Pro CM series though have been favourably reviewed by Johnny Guru It would greatly help if u have an online hardware site where u at that you could provide us as we aren't well versed with the h/w scene where u at hehe

No no all is well here :D

I mean all the stuff is availabe here but most of the amd mobos are 10-20$ more than on amazon or newegg.

Should i reduce my processor and mobo to reduce my budget??

Cool. I checked the prices here though and like i said the amd stuff is slightly higher on price. There is 1000 Rs diffrence between the phenom 945 and the core i5, thats bout 20$.

So i'm thinking might as well stick to the i5 for the long run and get different mobo. Sorry for the continuous change of minds. I just waana get the best value for the buck :)

i asked a few other ppl and they suggested

Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3

MSI H55-GD65.

Any idea if they are good enough or there is something better and cheaper ;)
