New windows on old SSD, MBR, EFI, GPT??

So i recently bought a 240gb ssd to upgrade from a 120gb. So i am using the old 120gb ssd to build my mother a computer. When i try to install a new copy of windows, which i formated the drive, deleted and selected new i get a message that says.

"Windows cant be installed to this disk. The selected disk has a MBR partition table. On EFI systems, windows can only be installed to GPT disk."

When i use my CD it will install. but when i used the New CD it will not. So i dont know what i need to do to get it to work, erase the MBR or is the SSD useless to make a newbuild. any help would greatly be appreciated.
