Best Graphics card for my system?

Hello I have a Super Micro [ X5DPE-G2 ] Server board. and I was wondering, what would be the best graphics card for this system. It has the following ports:

• Max 2x 64-bit 133MHz PCI-X (3.3V) slots
Default:
• 3x 64-bit 100/66MHz PCI-X (3.3V) slot
• 3x 64-bit 66MHz PCI-X (3.3V) slots
• 1x SXB (Supermicro Extended Bus) slot

Im pretty sure the SXB is PCI-E compatible. I actually have an older one plugged into it right now.

Here is the webpage for the board: http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon/E7501/X5DPE-G2.cfm

Thanks in advance.

  1. Hello and welcome to the forums :)
What's your usage(gaming, general use....)? also what's your power supply ?
  2. Your MOBO will only take PCI video cards since it does NOT have any PCIe slots.

PCIX slots are Extended PCI slots which provided a 64-bit data bus.

PCIX is NOT the same as PCIe
  3. Gaming, I want to be able to play Star Trek Online.

And, I have a PCI-E card plugged in currently, to the SXB... SXB is generally what people use for RAID
  4. So, what is your PSU? brand? model? open your case and see it for yourself...
You said that you has pcie card currently plugged, what is it?
  5. Actually it appears that it is a PCI card. Not PCI-e, so what is the best PCI card out there?

The one I have currently is a NVIDIA GeForce 5200.
