Mobo question

I have a VGA only monitor, could i hook it up to this mobo?

this board only has a serial/COM port, what does that do? And i am getting a graphics card with this, could i plug my monitor into there and call it good?

    That motherboard has no onboard GPU so you will need a discrete one. Most graphics cards today come with adapters (if they don't have VGA port) so you can hook up to monitor on VGA.
  2. COM ports are what there was before USB. The 15-pin monitor plug won't fit in the 9-pin serial port. If it could you would likely blow both.
