How can I detect all installed Ram?

Hello,
I am running a EVGA P55V chipset odel 120-LF-E651-TR.Win 7 64bit have 2 sticks of DDR3 1333mhz 2x2g but windows only detects 3.99g of the total 8g I should have. in CPUZ it says they are running dual channel. How can i fix this to see/use all of my installed ram?

Do you have two sticks of 2gb, or two sticks of 4gb? A 8gb kit will have 2 x 4gb, a 4gb kit will have 2 x 2gb.

each stick says 4g(2x2g) on it so i assume 2 sticks of 4

I don't think so. Ram is sold in kits. 4gb is what you got, in a 2 x 2gb configuration.

What brand and product number is it? How much did you pay for it? A 8gb kit will be >$75.

I spent about 40$ on it, sales guy said it was 8g worth of RAM but here is the info

Sorry to say, you were misinformed by the sales guy. Here is a link to the kit:

The 4G in the label indicates a 4gb kit.
