  1. What is your budget? What do you need your video card to do for you?
  2. And you'd better tell us if you need an AGP or PCI-e or PCI video card.
Or at least tell us what motherboard you have.
  3. What is the budget?
How much room do you have in your case?
  4. this is my spec

    intel pentium D 2.80GHz
    2 Gb ram
    window xp home edition
    320 gb hard disk
    PCiE Card..

    my budget is around 150-200$

i need graphic card that can play latest game like GTA IV in medium setting..
  5. Forget GTA4, it's a very demanding resources game. I think your Pent. D would not strong enough to play that game...
What about your PSU? brand? model?
    Monitor? what size?
  6. my brand is dell dimension e520..my monitor was 22..did you think i need to upgrade my pentium or graphic card?i used ati x1550 now..
  7. Nvidea GTX260+, and before we start a flaming war, check the AMD forums for the problem the 4 and 5 series cards are having, seems that both Nvidea and AMD are having bumpy problems
  8. For your Dell Dimension e520 and it's 305W PSU it's looking like the HD 5670 is maybe the best choice. Should do really well at 1680x1050.
    HIS H567Q512 Radeon HD 5670 (Redwood) IceQ 512MB $90 and $10 rebate

Anything more powerful and you're talking about a PSU upgrade as well.
    MSI R5750-MD1G Radeon HD 5750 $135 and $20 rebate and Corsair 400CX PSU $50 with $20 rebate

can i play GTA IV without lag with that graphic card??
  10. you may need to turn down the res a little, the game is CPU intensive, here is the kick in the butt, as you reduce res it becomes more CPU dependant, raising the res lowers the load on the CPU, the law of diminishing returns, regrettfully we can't weigh all factors here, the card maybe capable but the CPU is not, those are the facts, all the rest is smoke
