Hello my name is Jeff and i am new to this community. I want to know what everyone thinks is the best mobo for an intel build going with a 1366 socket or a 1156 socket. Im looking at a i7 950 or the 875k for overclocking and gaming. Any advice for a good board with good overclocking features would be appreciated thank you.

Depends on your budget.. Pretty much all available boards are good.. Just stay away from Intel original options..

For overclocking the i7 875k will be easier to OC 'cause it's unlocked. In gaming both CPU's will do a great job.
Here is a good P55 mobo:

whats the difference between an unlocked processor and a locked processor? ALso does triple channel memory matter much?

Well these unlocked CPU's don't have their multiplier locked, so with an unlocked multiplier you can OC the CPU easily. (you can raise the multiplier)

And no, tripple channel memory doesn't matter much, and in games it makes no difference.
