Asus ve245 1080p cropping issue

Hello. I have a new ASUS CG5725 PC that i have hooked up to a VE245 24" LCD monitor. With the on-board graphics, the computer displayed 1080p perfectly. I disabled the on-board video and upgraded to an ATI HD 5770 with 1GB of DDR5. Ever since then, I can run 1080p but it crops an inch of black around the whole picture. The desktop is literally shrunk down and I now have an inch of unusable space. When I run at a lower non HD resolution it runs fine. I have the most updated drivers for the video card and all of the Windows 7 updates. I am lost! Please help me.
