Sep 19, 2012, 12:33 PM
i have recently upgraded my HDD from 80 GB ultra ATA (installed windows XP SP2) to SATA 250GB HDD and installed windows 7.
Now planning to use both the hard disks by connecting with an adapter (IDE to SATA SATA 2 IDE HDD CONVETER CABLE ADAPTER).
i have some data in my old HDD, so not planning to format, will windows 7 OS read windows XP installed HDD.

Yes, it will read it fine as both OS's use a NTFS file system. You may have an issue with the IDE-2-SATA adapter. Not all of these work real well.
