Custom HD Case

Hi all its been awhile since im planning to build a new computer.

My question is i am going to build a custom case for 5 internal sata hard drive and i like to hook them up external into a case im building.
is there a way i can power them with a spare power supply i have laying around and hook up the custom case via 1 esata cable? The Hard Drive WILL NOT BE IN A RAID of any sort.

You need to create a power switch to short the pins on the 20/24 pin motherboard connector.

Also about the 5 HD is there a adapter to to connect all of them to one esata cable?? if there is is it wise to do that? in terms of speed wise (reading and writing)
