Question about motherboards with Lucid Hydra technology.

hi, i know that lucid hydra does decrease performance when running on crossfire or sli, but im building a gpu render farm, and the only motherboard i can find with 8 pci slots has lucid hydra on it. i will be using 8 5770's in it, and none of them will be in crossfire. will lucid hydra effect the performance of the gpu's in any way?

Lucid hydra has a lot of issues..the drivers are still not that great..which board are you referring to btw? Running's that many 5770's would prove quite difficult for that particular technology..Why not pick up stronger cards that halve the amount of cards you use and use sli/xfire technology?
