Hello Guys,

I'm looking for a way to turn my Acer Aspire one into a repeater.
When I say repeater, I don't mean hotspot.

I know the software:"Connectify"already. but it just share your internet creating a new network.

What I would like to have is a software that allow to input wds information,
and be able to stay on the same network as the router.

Router (192.168.1.1) Notebook (192.168.1.XXX) connected device (192.168.1.xxY) of course as WDS, the notebook should broadcast the same SSID, same channel, same wep key...

Connected devices, should get an IP from the router and not from the notebook! Mac filter option would be a must :)

Any idea how to do that??

Cheers

To control the length of the network whether the laptop is connected or not
basically if my notebook- repeater isn't present, the network isn't extended so unreachable
as the wds is based on the Mac address I think it would be a good way to secure the access to some areas

not sure what I've written is clear:)

windows ics create a new network, and share the internet from the one to the other.

it's not only sharing internet, it's sharing network.
i want the notebook to be necessary brick for the continuity of the network.
no notebook, no continuity.
