I'm about ready to start my first build and had a couple questions about SSDs on the market. I'm building the system for games and regular home use and want to use a SSD for boot and games (one at a time installs, will delete old games as I get new ones) and will use a HDD for storage.
1) What size should I go for? I've really been thinking 120, so that I don't need to be really adament about making surethe drive doesn't get full, but 90 might be possible, but for the price 120 just makes sense to spend the little bit extra.
2) What SSD/Brand? I've been giving a hard look at the Samsung 830 series and Corsair Force GT series, but what other ones should I check out? I'm looking for reliable and fast, so I am probably going to exclude OCZ from the conversation because of all the bad reviews I see for both the agility and vertex, but what about Crusial, Sandisk, or Mushkin? Also, please mention only newer versions, I don't want to purchase an older version where I might have major problems updating the firmware.
