3400-3470 pictur is good... no sound at all from hdmi

Did you connect the motherboards onboard sound or soundcard to the plug on the card.

It's an ATi, not connection needed unlike old nV (internal now).

Google the problem about no sound on ATi card via HDMI, then make sure you downloaded the drivers in those knowledgebase articles, and follow the directions about disabling onboard and enabling the Realtek sound panel.
