Got the MSI P67A-C43 B3 mobo, now I'm trying to choose RAM.

I was going to go with the Gskill Ripjaws (not X) 2x4gb DDR31600..but read a lot of forum posts of people having issues with their new Sandy Bridge..I've also read that the X series is marketing hype.

That being said, I need some advice. Am I safe with the Ripjaws or better to go with the RipjawsX? (G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL)

I don't see my MOBO on the Qualified List that GSkill has on their website..

These are the choices, both are high performance but i recommend going to the second one.

CORSAIR DOMINATOR 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model CMD8GX3M4A1333C7

lower latency means higher performance.

if you are on a budget, the one which is stated above would be best,

CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model

The only thing I would caution against with the Dominators is the height. They may interfere with your cooler.

You can't go wrong with XM3 for the price. I saw 1600's yesterday for $34 after rebate.

Manu11, you want 1.5v ram for P67, 1.65v will work, but that is the absolute max or you can damage a SB cpu, so better to stay with the newer 1.5v standard.

Thanks for the advice, I was able to snag the RipjawsX for $90 for 8GB..(with the 15% off coupon on NewEgg)..A bit more expensive probably than I should have spent..Where did you see the XM3s for $34???
