Help building my gaming PC

Hey i just had a quick question. I just bought my PSU and i was wondering if I could hook it up and test out the fans etc.. but I only have a mobo, ram, hdd, and cd rom installed no CPU. Can i still hook up my power supply? i just wanted to check before i did so i didnt hurt anything

You can do the paperclip method to jump start your PSU.

1) Get a Paperclip
2) Connect one end into the Green Wire Slot on the 20/24-pin ATX connector
3) Connect the other end into a Black Wire Slot on 20/24-pin ATX connector
4) PSU is now jumped...

Alright Cool thanks! So ill try that but than can i hook it up cause i have my mobo hooked up and i was gonna hook it up to my monitor i have no clue what wil hapen without a cpu though?

It won't boot without a CPU installed, so you won't really see anything.
