Hello,

I'm thinking about adding 4GB's of ram to my pc. I was wondering if i'll have some issues about clock speeds.

My PC specs:

Gigabyte MA790-XT - UD4P
Phenom xII 550 BE (unlocked to 4 cores, OC to 3.7 ghz)
2x2 GB Kingston DDR3 1333 MHz CL9 Dual Kit (4GB)
ATI 6950 2 GB (upgrading from 4770 crossfire, i'll have the 6950 in a few days)

I have 2 more slots, if i add another 4GB(the same brands and model (2x2)) will i have any problems?

I've read in some posts that, when upgrading from 4GB dual to (2x4)8GB, some problems of stability may occur. (Frequence drops from 1333 Mhz to 800 Mhz, or voltage tweak requirements etc.)

Any suggestions would help.

Thank you.

Solution
I would definitely try to match the RAM you already have. You have four slots by which if your RAM is rated to run at speed at 1.5V, you shouldn't have a problem.
