Nvidia gtx 260 on an asus P5SD2-VM motherboard

Well, im planning to buy a nvidia gtx 260 graphic card but im just asking, will it work with my motherboard (Asus P5SD2-VM)
btw if it helps,,, my specs are
OS: windows xp sp2, im planning to change it to windows 7 though
Processor: Pentium R Dual-Core Cpu 2.5 Ghz
Ram: 1gb DDR2 ram
my PSU: IDK if its right but i have 500w system power

It'll work, but that card is blatent over kill. You'll have a massive bottle neck, and you'll actually get less FPS with a GTX 260 that a 9800GT with that CPU. You need more RAM too. Also, unless you have two PCIe 6 pin connectors, or 4 free molex connectors (and NOT ones with "Y" cables on them) you can't pull it off.
