Memory not working at full speed

Hi
Recently I bought 3x2gb of kingston hyperx 2000mhz. I went into the bios and set the speed to 2000mhz and then it would not boot. i turned down the speed to 1800mhz and it still didn't boot. the only speed i found it would boot on is 1066mhz.
Is there something i'm doing wrong?
