Hello Gents,
I just received all of my new components to built a new computer. Here are the specs;
- Case: Coolermaster HAF-X
- Mobo: ASUS Sabertooth P67
- Ram: Kingston Hyper X 8gb 1600MHz DDR3, Non-ECC CL9 DIMM (2x4) (KHX1600C9D3T1K2/8G) (A2-B2 Slots)
- CPU: i7-2600k Ver. 2 (Prolimatech - Super Mega Heat Sink + 2x 120mm push/pull fans)
- GPU: EVGA GTX570 SC
- PSU: PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 850w
- Storage: X25-M Intel 80GB SSD + WD 500GB mechanical.
I assembled the computer last night, and started it up, here is what happened;
- Computer powered up, then shut off.
- Computer started back up a few second later, DRAM_LED ON, no Boot Screen.
- Pressed "MemOK!", wait for it to cycle through, DRAM_LED ON, no Boot Screen.
- Proceeded to swap, move sticks in every possible combination possible, 1 at a time, etc, while resetting BIOS JUMPER every time and doing the "MemOK!" as well, DRAM_LED ON, no Boot Screen.
- Removed RAM, powered computer, internal speaker: "long beep, 2x short beeps, pause, repeat" (According to P67 manual, no ram detected, which is what I wanted to test.)
- Called Kingston, they said that this ram should have no problems with this mobo, but could not help me further since I needed to talk to a "Tech 2" person which only work during business hours.
Anything else I should try? All ideas are welcome.
