Hey forum :)
Well i have a giant question for you and i need the help very badly ... So i got a AMD 4200+ x2 (wich is 2.2ghz clocked) and that CPU is bottlenecking my ATI Sapphire 4850 :(
I have a solution to get a faster CPU for easy money the AMD 6000+ x2 ( wich is 3.0ghz clocked ).
Is that going to solve my problem or I need more horse power ?

PS : Don't make suggestions of others CPU's i have an AM2 socket and HT of 2000 MT's :pfff:

Any solid answer will be very appreciated :) Thank you in advance :bounce:

when u say exchange, how much dollar do u acturally have to drop on it?

if u cant change ur mobo, then 3Ghz cpu is better than 2.2. but if the price is just too much, then i guess its not that worth. so the suggestion depends on how much u are dishing out for the" new" cpu

Well i guess i will sell my old one second hand ill get probably 1/3 of the price ...
Im getting the AMD 6000+ for 50 Euros... but im not gonna get it obviosly if it still limits my GPU

it probably will in the newer titles. but the bump in GHz will ensure a LOT less bottleneck.

a better option is to sell ur CPU + mobo and get a athlon x3 2.8~3Ghz + a AM2+ mobo. there are cheap cobos u may find and u can harvest your existing RAMs. difference between AM3 vs AM2+/AM2 is next to nothing, so u wont feel a thing. u may have to add a little more this way, but u wont regret it, that i can asure

cheers

Dude i hit like 60-62 with no OC's on this CPU ... that's impossible... and i don't have alot of Power left on my Powersupply to play around with overclocks much
