SSD Boot Drive vs. Intel SRT

Hey, i have a few questions. First is the setup, i would like to use 2 hard drives on my laptop. One being a 7200rpm HD (haven't decided which one) and one being an Intel 520 120GB SSD. My first question is would it be more beneficial to install a fresh boot and essential programs on the Intel SSD and then use my HD for storage? or take advantage of Intel's program of "Smart response Technology" to cache to the SSD. Or both if this is possible? Is there a way to cache to my SSD after its setup as a boot drive? From what I've read it doesn't seem to be possible, but let me know. I basically want to utilize my 120GB SSD in the best way possible, in the easiest way possible. Any advice is gladly welcome (even HD and SSD purchasing choices)

Thanks!
